OP-Zuid and European Development Fund
IREX has been granted a subsidy from the Economic Stimulation Program OP-Zuid. OP-Zuid has set its goal to strengthen the Southern region of the Netherlands as a leading technology region. It is co-financed by the European Development Fund and the Dutch Government.
IREX has been leading the electronic reading revolution since the introduction of the first e-paper based e-reader in 2004. The grant from OP-Zuid has contributed to design the iOn platform, a powerful, flexible, and compatible next generation e-reading platform for developing the e-readers of tomorrow.
